CBD Gummies: The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly

CBD gummies are a wildly popular method to ingest America’s favorite new cannabinoid – CBD. Considering their popularity, delicious flavor, convenience, novelty, fun-factor, and ease of use, our customers often ask us why we don’t sell CBD gummy bears or CBD candy.

We won’t deny that these multi-colored gelatinous CBD treats can help to offset the unfamiliarity of taking cannabinoids as a responsible, productive member of society – by infusing CBD in an easily recognizable form that many of us enjoyed as children.

However, now that we are no longer children, we can (for better or worse) no longer embody the ‘ignorance is bliss’ philosophy that makes childhood such a relatively carefree experience.

At Ananda Hemp, we believe passionately in the healing power of hemp, cannabis, CBD, other cannabinoids, and the hundreds of phytonutrients that occur naturally in hemp. This fervent belief is why all of our CBD products are true full-spectrum, ethanol extracted goodness.

We provide an exceptionally pure CBD formulation, jam-packed with the 500+ medicinal compounds from the hemp plant. These phytonutrients carried in house-made cold-pressed hemp seed oil, with a dash of MCT to balance viscosity, and rounded out with a botanical terpene blend. No fillers, no fluff – 100% pure plant-powered bliss.

While some of the ingredients aren’t inherently bad or unhealthy – the majority of them can have adverse health effects. We aren’t saying it's the worst thing ever if you eat CBD gummy bears. We encourage keeping worry to a minimum, as it’s virtually impossible to avoid exposure to toxins of one sort or another in modern society.

However, we can’t feel good about taking something as powerful, versatile, and inherently beneficial as hemp and either watering it down, adding unhealthful ingredients to it, or both.

Additionally, gummy bears tend to appeal to children - and having your two-year old getting into a bag of CBD gummies is the last thing you'd want to happen.

What's more is that a large percentage of CBD gummies are of the 'spray on' variety - meaning the CBD is not mixed with the other ingredients, but is instead sprayed-on after the gummies are already formed. This often results in inconsistent dosing - nullifying the entire reason many people opt for CBD candy in the first place.

There are undoubtedly hundreds of sources online if you are a die-hard CBD gummy fan, or have a need to eat CBD in candy form for one reason or another. Having said that, if you’re looking for the highest-quality, most effective, certified contaminant full-spectrum CBD in existence – look no further than Ananda Hemp.

One last consideration to make regarding the usage of CBD gummies or candy is that more often than not, using CBD isolate is the norm for manufacturers of such products. A truly full-spectrum hemp extract is a very rich and thick oil, and it is more difficult and labor-intensive to utilize for gummies than the crystalline powder that is CBD isolate.

We hope we answered your question about why we choose not to create or sell CBD gummies and wish you health and happiness always!
