Questions About Hemp

Full Spectrum refers to a range of beneficial cannabinoids (such as CBD, CBC, CBG, CBN etc), terpenes and phytonutrients that occur naturally in a hemp plant. We believe and research shows that these compounds work synergistically together to create much better results than using a CBD isolate. Check out our blog about the difference between full spectrum and CBD isolate.

The primary difference between hemp oil  and CBD oil is where the oil itself is derived from the hemp plant. Hemp Oil is derived from the seeds of the hemp plant only. CBD Oil is derived from the stalk, stems, leaves or flowers of industrial hemp plants.

One of the questions that often comes up is, what is the difference between cannabis, industrial hemp and marijuana? Think of it this way. Cannabis Sativa L is the family. Then under that family there are two groupings.

CBD oil is derived from the stalk, stems, leaves, and flowers of the hemp plant. The only part of the hemp plant that doesn’t contain CBD oil is hemp seed. Read more about the difference between CBD Oil and Hemp Oil.

Cannabinoids are part of a class of diverse chemical compounds that act on receptors in the human endocannabinoid system (ECS). Unlike THC, CBD and other cannabinoids are non-psychoactive.

Hemp and marijuana are species from the Cannabis Sativa L plant. There is no difference between CBD that is extracted from the two. CBD is CBD whether it comes from hemp or marijuana.

Product Information

Our products contain less than .3% THC, which is a very small amount, however, because of the fat-soluble nature of THC and other cannabinoids found in hemp oil, accumulation and excretion of hemp oil byproducts can result in a positive drug test. If you are concerned with passing a drug test, we do not recommend using any of our products. Check out our blog about cbd showing up on a drug test.

All of our products have similar formulations, the main difference is in the strengths per bottle. Any of our products will provide you with the beneficial cannabinoids and other phytonutrients it needs to support your overall health and wellness. If you are new to Ananda Hemp and/or CBD products, we typically suggest starting with our Spectrum 300. This product contains 300mg of active cannabinoids in a 30ml bottle, which is our lowest strength. Spectrum 300 is a great introductory product and is intended for general health and wellness. If you have already tried our products, regularly consume CBD products and/or have a generally active lifestyle, we recommend starting with our Spectrum 600. This product contains 600mg of active cannabinoids in a 30ml bottle. If you are looking for the largest bottle and strongest strength, we recommend our Spectrum 2000. This product contains 2000mg of active cannabinoids per 50ml bottle.

Our original Spectrum 600 is a full spectrum product, meaning it contains all of the beneficial cannabinoids, terpenes and other phyto-nutrients that naturally occur in the hemp plant. It contains 600mg of active cannabinoids per bottle, including THC.

We created our Zero THC Spectrum 600 for those with sensitivities to THC. This product is considered a broad spectrum product since it contains all of the cannabinoids, terpenes and other phytonutrients from the hemp plant, without the THC.

We do always recommend our original Spectrum 600 unless you have a sensitivity to THC as we believe, and research shows that even a small amount of THC in the product will work synergistically with the other plant compounds to produce better effects.

Our products have less than .3% THC which is considered legal hemp. This amount of THC is not enough to be psychoactive. You will not get high from our products.

As of May 2019, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has updated its policy to allow hemp-derived CBD products on domestic flights.

Depending on the severity of symptoms, some people report improved conditions within 30-45 minutes whereas others may report improved conditions after a week with daily, consistent use. It is important to find the dosage that is right for you. We recommend starting with a low dose of 10-15mg and slowly increasing until you reach the desired result. It may take a few days to a week to get the dosage right.

Our products are 100% legal to ship to all 50 states. We ship everywhere internationally except for Canada and Asia at this time.

For all of our ingestible products, we recommend starting with a low dose of 10-15mg and slowly increasing until you reach the desired result.

The length of time CBD will stay in your system depends on many factors, including how much was taken, if there is consistent use, size/weight of the person and individual metabolism.

All of our products are GMO free and gluten free. Our tinctures are vegan. Our soft gels do contain sustainably-sourced gelatin.

The bottles were designed so the oil does not fill the entire dropper however when you gently squeeze the rubber end and release, rest assured you are getting a full dose as stated on the packaging.

Questions About Ananda Hemp

We are not certified organic although we always use organic growing practices and never spray harmful pesticides or herbicides on our crops. We are looking to become certified in the near future and so we abide by organic growing regulations. We also third party test every step of the way from seed to shelf to ensure our products are free from pesticides, herbicides, fungicides and glyphosate.

We are proud to say that our hemp is grown and processed in the USA and certified by the Kentucky Dept. of Agriculture. Ananda Hemp is one of the largest producers of domestic hemp, grown by 8th generation Kentucky farmers on over 500 acres.

Unlike many of our competitors, we do not use imported CBD extract which is not compliant with the Farm Bill. We do not produce any product from the stalk of the hemp plant. All of our extract comes from the flower.
